A Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Masters of Social Work from Rutgers University, Tanoa Bettis has spent the last decade providing counseling, mentoring, and therapeutic services to adults, adolescents and young children. As owner, founder, and lead therapist of Caring Connections Services LLC., Tanoa brings experience and expertise in a wide range of mental health services, including substance abuse and co morbid occurrence referral services, psychotherapeutic and behavioral modification services, and culturally sensitive practices. In addition to her work with Caring Connection Services, Tanoa works full-time as a mental health clinician for The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Tanoa is deeply engaged in advancing the field of Social Work and mental health to meet the needs of her community. She is a member of Phi Alpha Social Work Honor Society, Gamma Phi Delta Working Women of Business sorority, and Alpha Gamma Nu Chapter of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey where she serves as the second vice president and scholarship chair. Tanoa is also a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated. Most recently, Tanoa is working to charter a South Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Black Social Workers.
